Introduction

SnackTrack, LLC (“SnackTrack,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal information when you access or use the SnackTrack mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Services, including registered users and individuals who access the Services without creating an account. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you should not access or use the Services. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Use. Any terms not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings set forth in the Terms of Use. The Services are intended for users located in the United States. SnackTrack does not target or direct the Services to individuals in jurisdictions outside the United States.

Information We Collect
We collect personal information in several ways, including information you provide directly to us, information collected automatically when you use the Services, and information obtained from certain third-party sources. We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you use the Services, including: Account Information (email address, password), Profile Information (Username, profile image or other profile details you choose to provide), User-Generated Content (reviews, ratings, comments, photos or images you upload), Communications (information you provide when contacting us for support or submitting feedback) You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and up to date.

 

When you access or use the Services, we automatically collect certain information about your device and usage of the Services. This may include: Device and Technical Information, Internet Protocol (IP) address, Device identifiers, Device type, model, and operating system, Application or browser type and version, Usage Information, Interactions with the Services, Features and content you access, Dates and times of access, Activity logs and navigation paths, Analytics and Performance Informatio, Diagnostic data, Crash reports, Performance and error data. This information is used to operate, maintain, and improve the Services, as well as for security and troubleshooting purposes.


With your permission, the Services may access certain features of your device: Camera: To allow you to upload photos or images as part of your user-generated content. Push Notifications: To send notifications related to your account or activity within the Services. You may enable or disable push notifications through your device settings at any time. You can control or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings. Disabling certain permissions may limit the functionality of the Services.


Information from Third-Party Sources
We may obtain certain information from third-party sources in connection with operating the Services: Service Providers: We use third-party service providers (such as cloud infrastructure providers, analytics services, authentication providers, and

messaging services, including services provided by Google Firebase) that may process personal information on our behalf in connection with providing the Services. You can manage certain tracking preferences through your browser or device settings. Disabling these technologies may affect the availability or functionality of certain features of the Services.


How We Use Information
We use the personal information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the Services, and to support our overall business operations. In particular, we use information to create and manage user accounts, provide access to the features and functionality of the Services, and enable users to submit, view, and interact with content. This includes facilitating the display and sharing of user-generated content such as reviews, ratings, comments, and photos, as well as supporting user interactions, including current and future social features. We also use information to analyze how the Services are used in order to improve performance, functionality, and user experience. This includes evaluating usage patterns, diagnosing technical issues, and developing new features and enhancements, including potential premium offerings, social functionality, and other service improvements. We may use personal information to communicate with you regarding your account, respond to inquiries or support requests, and provide important service-related updates. At this time, SnackTrack does not send marketing or promotional emails, though this may be evaluated in the future. In addition, we use information to maintain the security and integrity of the Services, including detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access, and enforcing our Terms of Use and related policies. We may also use personal information for analytics and internal business purposes, including generating aggregated or de-identified insights to better understand usage trends and improve our offerings. Finally, we may use personal information as necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests, and to protect the rights, property, or safety of SnackTrack, our users, or others. We may use personal information for additional purposes where we provide notice at the time of collection or obtain your consent, as required by applicable law.


User-Generated Content and Public Information

The Services are designed to allow users to create and share content. As a result, certain information you provide through the Services may be visible to other users or the public. Content that you submit, including your username, reviews, ratings, comments, and any photos or images you upload, may be displayed within the Services and made accessible to other users. By submitting content, you acknowledge that it may be viewed, accessed, and used by others, and that SnackTrack does not control how other users may interact with or use that content. You are solely responsible for the content you choose to submit. You should not include sensitive personal information or information about others that you do not have the right to share. Content submitted through the Services should be considered non-confidential and non-private. As described in the Terms of Use, SnackTrack may use, display, and retain user-generated content in connection with operating, improving, and promoting the Services. User-generated content may remain available within the Services even after your account is deleted, subject to applicable law and SnackTrack’s policies. In some cases, content may be removed, anonymized, or modified; however, SnackTrack does not guarantee the removal of all content upon account deletion. Any interactions you have with other users through the Services are at your own risk. SnackTrack is not responsible for how other users use, share, or interpret content you make available through the Services. Because content made available through the Services may be publicly accessible, SnackTrack cannot control or prevent the further use, copying, or distribution of such content by third parties.


How We Share Information
We may share personal information in limited circumstances as necessary to operate the Services, support our business functions, and comply with legal obligations. We share personal information with third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, infrastructure, analytics, and communications support. These service providers are authorized to use personal information only as necessary to provide services to us and are contractually obligated to protect it. In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of our business or assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction or in connection with evaluating such a transaction. We may disclose personal information where required to do so by law or where we believe such disclosure is necessary to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms of Use or other agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of SnackTrack, our users, or others. SnackTrack does not sell personal information. However, we may allow third-party advertising partners, such as Google AdMob, to collect and process device identifiers and usage data in connection with advertising displayed within the Services. This may constitute “sharing” under applicable law. Users may be able to limit or reset advertising identifiers through their device settings.


Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, mobile software development kits (SDKs), and similar tracking technologies to collect and store information about how you interact with the Services. These technologies are used to support the operation and functionality of the Services, including maintaining user sessions, enabling core features, and ensuring the security and stability of the platform. They are also used to analyze usage patterns, monitorperformance, diagnose technical issues, and improve the overall user experience. These technologies may include third-party SDKs and services that collect device identifiers and usage data to support analytics, performance monitoring, and advertising functionality. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide and operate the Services, maintain user accounts, and comply with legal obligations. In general, personal information associated with your account is retained for the duration of your account’s existence. When you request deletion of your account, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize your personal information, except where retention is necessary for legitimate business purposes, such as security, fraud prevention, enforcement of our Terms of Use, or compliance with legal obligations. Certain information may be retained for a longer period where required or permitted by applicable law, including for tax, accounting, or legal compliance purposes. In addition, information may be retained in backup systems for a limited period of time, after which it will be securely deleted or overwritten in accordance with our retention practices. As described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, user-generated content may be retained after account deletion. Where appropriate, such content may be anonymized or modified; however, SnackTrack does not guarantee the removal of all user-generated content.

 

Account Management and Deletion
You may manage your account information at any time through the Services, including updating your profile details or requesting deletion of your account. If you choose to delete your account, your account will be deactivated and your personal information will be processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This generally includes deleting or anonymizing personal information associated with your account, subject to the retention practices described above. It is important to distinguish between account information and user-generated content. While account-related data may be deleted or anonymized upon request, content that you have submitted through the Services, such as reviews, ratings, comments, or photos, may continue to be displayed or retained, consistent with the Terms of Use and applicable law. SnackTrack may also retain certain information as necessary to prevent fraud, investigate misuse, enforce its agreements, or comply with legal obligations. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. SnackTrack does not knowingly direct the Services to, or intend for use by, individuals under the age of 18. SnackTrack does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child under 13 without appropriate parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information as soon as practicable. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information through the Services without your consent, you may contact us using the contact information provided below. Upon verification, we will take appropriate steps to remove such information and, where applicable, disable the associated account. We encourage parents and guardians to monitor and supervise their children’s online activities and to help enforce this Privacy Policy by instructing children not to provide personal information without permission.


Security
SnackTrack implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures are intended to safeguard the integrity and security of the Services and the information we process. Despite these efforts, no method of transmitting or storing information over the Internet is completely secure. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the “CCPA”), subject to certain limitations. Categories of Personal Information Collected In the preceding twelve (12) months, SnackTrack has collected the following categories of personal information: Identifiers, such as email address, username, IP address, and device identifiers, Internet or other electronic network activity information, such as usage data, interactions with the Services, and activity logs Commercial information, such as interactions with products, preferences, ratings, and related activity within the Services, Geolocation data (approximate), such as general location derived from IP address, Inferences, such as preferences or interests inferred from user activity within the Services. SnackTrack does not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as defined under California law. If we collect sensitive personal information in the future, we will limit its use to purposes permitted under applicable law and will provide any required notices or rights.

SnackTrack does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. To the extent third-party advertising services are used, certain data sharing may occur that could be considered “sharing” under applicable law.

Verification and Response Process

Verification may include matching information you provide with information we maintain or requesting additional information as necessary.
